OARA
The Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association has been the voice of the auto recycling industry in Ontario since 1992. OARA has kept Auto Recyclers informed and involved with input and information into current industry trends and government legislative initiatives that affect auto recyclers. In addition, as the membership grows, numerous membership benefits are now available to enhance a members opportunities and productivity.

OMVIC
OMVIC is the motor vehicle dealer industry's self-management body. OMVIC is responsible for administering Ontario's Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA). UCDA
The UCDA currently represents more than 4400 dealer members who are estimated to account for over 60% of the dealers registered in Ontario who actively participate in the Used Vehicle Industry.

Switch Out
Switch Out is a voluntary program running across Canada, collecting mercury-containing switch pellets from vehicles before they enter the waste stream. This award-winning program is dedicated to safely and effectively reducing the amount of mercury entering the environment from the automotive recycling sector.

Retire Your Ride
Retire Your Ride is an initiative of The Government of Canada, Clean Air Foundation and its partners, designed to enable people to get their high-polluting cars off the road and reward them for doing so. The program is committed to improving air quality by responsibly recycling vehicles and aims to retire at least 50,000 vehicles per year until March 31, 2011.
